| 57 year old Flamenco star, Luis Carrasco, was found dead at his home in the town of Montilla yesterday morning (photo); there was no sign of a forced entry and the front door was locked. He was found by his sister who told press that his body was tied to his bed and he was naked from the waist down. Contrary to statements made by other family members, his sister insisted that there were no signs that he had been badly beaten around the face, although there was some slight bruising around his neck.
A neighbour explained that the guitarist's flat had been ransacked while one of his brothers explained that he had received treatment at the Reina Sofia University Hospital a little over a month ago after a vicious beating, although he was unsure about who was responsible and the circumstances leading up to the attack.
Carrasco enjoyed a highly successful career and was good friends with a number of fellow Flamenco stars, including Paco de Lucia and Manolo Sanlucar, but spent his time teaching guitar having retired from performing live.
