A man who was badly gored in the La Rioja town of Aguilar del Río Alhama during an amateur bullfight to celebrate the annual festival last Sunday, has died of his injuries at Tudela's Reina Sofía Hospital. The 50 year old man, who was originally from Cádiz and who worked as a pilot, was admitted on Sunday evening suffering from a serious, open, gore wound to the abdomen. Two operations ultimately failed to save the man's life, and he died late last night.
