Buying insurance when you are a foreigner living in Spain is not easy; lots of paperwork, exclusions, dealing with difficult T&Cs, lots of providers, etc. From the language barrier to the cultural differences, expats need to overcome countless obstacles when living abroad.
This is where this new position comes to effect; we are looking for an outgoing sales-driven professional that understands the expatriate needs and requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to speak their language – both literally and figuratively - to advise them on what insurance to buy for their car, health and/or home, among many others.
As one of our Insurance agents, your mission will be to help promoting and selling insurance products and services to new customers.
Giving sound financial advisory services and customer support to your clients and dealing not only with individuals but their families and corporate businesses, too.
You will become their trusted person to deal with all these headaches.
•Achieve monthly revenue targets set by senior management.
•Provide a top service to clients, ensuring they understand the importance of having an insurance for their home, health, and car that covers all their needs and reduces risks.
•Establish key contacts, stakeholder relationships and connections across the wider insurance sector.
•Call and asses on policyholders to deliver and explain their policies, such as analysing the insurance policy and suggesting additions or changing the beneficiaries.
•Develop marketing strategies in conjunction with the marketing team.
•Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled and compliant.
•Contact underwriter and submit forms to obtain binder coverage.
•Understand client's needs, applying your knowledge of risks and the insurance market to find and arrange the best insurance cover and policies.
•Calculate premiums and establish payment method.
•Follow up business enquiries and leads from new prospects, provide quotes for products and follow through to close the sale.
•Keep abreast of competitor information, pricing and strategies.
•Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of different policies to promote sale.
•Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage.
•Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both the client and the insurer.
•Seek out new clients and develop a networking of clients to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.
Desired Skills and Experience:
•You must be a resident at Costa del Sol (Spain).
•An outgoing, confident individual with excellent interpersonal skills who can quickly build strong rapport with clients and can influence and engage effectively at all levels of the business.
•Be self-driven, autonomous and results-driven with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a clear focus on business profitability.
•Excellent level of English (native level preferable).
•Multiple language skills are a plus.
•Good personal and business relationship with foreigners living at the Costa del Sol.
•Sound knowledge of the products offered.
•Experience in expat insurances and customer portfolio will be valued.
•Experience in finance and/or insurance is a plus.
•Excellent communication skills.
