This rural hotel is to give the tourist a different type of accommodation, in direct contact with the Lanzarote countryside.
This deals with the construction of a rural hotel, category 2 Palms, on the site of an old house, dating back to the year 1900.
The said construction will have 20 rooms, reception, lounges, kitchens, spa, hall for conventions and meetings etc. with a surface area of 2173 m2 on a piece of land of 64.000m2, situated in the village of Macher.
Set in a rural and oldest part of the island, near the most touristic areas, gives the tourist the possibility to contemplate the coast from a different vantage point and tranquil setting – which is the country side of Lanzarote.
In the surroundings, clients could enjoy other existing alternatives, for example restaurants with Canarian and International kitchens like in the Sporting Marina at Puerto Calero – only 5 minutes away from the proposed hotel.
The old building which appears in the “Registry of Property” of the Municipality of Tias was constructed in 1900 and is known in the area as “The house of Zacharias”
The house is a typical Canarian house and consists of two semi-detached buildings. One was the house in rectangular form around a Canarian patio, the other adjoining building was a bodega, also designed as storage for grain or fruit.
The hotel that we are proposing fulfils the full agreement of norms required for a Rural Hotel of 2 Palms, can be found situated slightly south of the center of the island, about 1 km from the main Arrecife-Yaiza road. The place is known as “El Meson”, a plot of 64.5 ha. In agreement with P.I.O.T. the ground is classified as “rustic ground potentially productive (SRPP).
500 metres from the roundabout, apart from the proposed renovation, only a few other houses exist with interesting landscaping. The views extending as far away as Arrecife and to the point of Papagayo, as well as to the north of the Island of Fuerteventura are extraordinary. On clear days it is possible to see hotels situated in the dunes of Corralejo. Also visible the touristic zones of Puerto del Carmen.
Geographically, as we have explained, clients can reach any point on the island in no time at all.
