The hotel consists of two parts: an original 19th-century stone construction, where the entrance and 6 of the bedrooms are located, and adjoined to this, a new part constructed in 2004, where the rest of the rooms are located as well as the restaurant and panoramic lounge
There are a total of 12 rooms, 10 of them doubles (2 slightly larger) and 2 triples; all with external views and ten of them facing south. In eight of the rooms the bathroom also has its own exterior window.
The hotel lounges, as well as the restaurant's dining room, are oriented to the south, with wide views of the farm and the nearby mountains, including the Picos de Europa and the Ponga mountains.
The restaurant has a dining room with 10 tables and capacity for 26 people.
There is a terrace, accessible from the hotel, which allows you to view part of the farm and its surroundings. Accessible from the hotel terrace, there is a garden area with tables and chairs also with views.
The hotel facilities have central and individual heating in the rooms, with hot water through solar panels and oil boiler.
The hotel estate, of more than 5 hectares, has apple trees (pumarada) and pastures, where lambs of the native Xalda breed are now raised and used in the restaurant's kitchen.
There is a small path running through the farm of approximately half a kilometre that allows you to explore the surroundings closest to the hotel.
The hotel is located in the east of Asturias, 3 kms north of Arriondas, 9 kms from Cangas de Onís and 15 kms from Ribadesella, strategically located near mountains such as the Picos de Europa, the Cantabrian Sea and the Sella River.
There is direct access from a regional road (AS-342), which has minimal traffic and allows you to maintain the tranquility of the environment.
The hotel is now in its 23rd year of operation and is managed by an English family, which opened it and has managed it since its opening.
So far it opens 7 months a year but there is scope to open all year. The restaurant could also be opened at midday, and for non-residential customers as it has the corresponding license.
The operation of the hotel and the restaurant involves up to 7 people, who are organised during the opening months according to the season activity.
Currently the hotel is well established in the tourist guides, with a high percentage of European and North American clients, seeking tranquillity and, many of them, enjoy hiking. Some of the clients come to stay to visit “Casa Marcial”, a 2-star Michelin restaurant less than 1 km from the hotel.
