In the term of Montagut, and very close to Castellfollit de la Roca, there is this beautiful 19th-century Modernist Factory. The Factory, currently in disuse, still owns the Fluvià river water concession. Until the middle of the 19th century, it was a mill. From the second half of the century, it began to function as a textile dye factory, then as a cotton yarn factory until the 1970s. In 1990, the turbine returned to operate for the production of electrical energy. The factory has a total surface of about 3000 m2, consists of a central nave, a masonry, porch, warehouse, and different annexes. Currently, it would have to be rehabilitated. It still preserves the original iron columns of the factory, a changed stone facade from the area and bricks from the 19th century, and various architectural elements, which give it a unique style, not only in the area but also in the entire environment.
