A 20-YEAR-OLD tourist is in a critical condition in Mallorca's Son Espases hospital after a six-metre (19'6”) fall from a hotel balcony.
The injured man's nationality has not been revealed, but he is said to have been staying at a resort in Magaluf, the coastal 'arm' of the inland town of Calvià.
He was rushed to hospital on Saturday night after plunging from the terrace at around 18.20hrs.
It is not known whether the incident was a case of 'balconing', the foolhardy stunt involving trying to jump from one balcony to another or into the swimming pool below; whether it was a drunken accident, or simply an unfortunate fall.
