Earthquake in Ciudad Real felt in Albacete

AN EARTHQUAKE reaching 3.3 on the Richter scale shook the central provinces of Ciudad Real and Albacete at 09.15 this morning, the National Geographical Institute has just confirmed.
The epicentre of the tremor was in the town of Tomelloso, in Ciudad Real, but was felt as far afield as Ossa de Montiel in Albacete.
Residents in Ruidera and Santa Cruz de Mudela (Ciudad Real) also felt the quake, but as it was 12 kilometres underground, the sensation was very minor.
Emergency services say they did not receive any calls.
