Penélope Cruz confirms cameo role in Sex and the city II
11/04/2010
PENÉLOPE Cruz has confirmed her cameo role in the second Sex and the city film, which will be in Spanish cinemas on June 4.
The actress, who started her career in the off-the-wall films of cult director Pedro Almodóvar, says she has always been a fan of the series, but would not reveal details of her role in the film version.
That said, videos have been released of a scene in which Cruz flirts with Mr Big, the on-screen partner of Sarah Jessica Parker's character, Carrie.
Cruz will star alongside the four usual characters – Carrie; Samantha (Kim Cattrall); Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon).
In Sex and the city II, Carrie and Mr Big go through troubled times, two years into their marriage – a situation that is further complicated by the reappearance of Carrie's ex, Aidan (John Corbett).
Along with Cruz, other famous faces who play walk-in parts include Victoria Beckham, Miley Cyrus and Liza Minelli.
