HIGH-SPEED rail services between Spain's largest two cities and France have been snapped up by half a million passengers in less than nine months, reveals the transport board.
Two-for-one rail ticket offer between February 14 and 18
07/02/2019
IF YOU travel on Spain’s rail network between February 14 and 18 this year, you can take a companion with you for free, says transport board RENFE.
The ‘two-for-one’ offer is valid on the high-speed AVE or the slower long-distance links, and tickets can be bought from now until Monday, February 18.
Return journeys only, not single tickets, are eligible for the promotion.
All official points of sale – via the RENFE website, through travel agencies, by phone or at the ticket booths at stations – qualify for the deal, the first of this type the rail board has ever organised.
RENFE’s Twitter page says: “Travel with us between February 14 and 18 and bring whoever you want…FREE!”
It points out that the offer coincides with Valentine’s Day, making it perfect for a last-minute romantic getaway.
