How to personalise your property alerts on thinkSPAIN
Personalising your alerts is essential to find your right property. Perhaps you are currently receiving alerts that don’t match your needs and would like to receive properties in your preferred area and with specific characteristics. Or perhaps you feel you are receiving alerts too frequently and would like to change this. With these simple steps we will show you how you can create an alert, deactivate it, and change the frequency of your emails so you can find your ideal property.
Create an alert to find the right property
- In the property listing, click on ‘Filters’ (‘More Filters’ if you’re on desktop).
- Select the filters that best match your search, such as location, price or number of rooms and click on ‘See’ to see the results.
- When you have applied all the filters, click on ‘Save Search’ to receive properties with these same characteristics in your mailbox.




- After clicking, this same button will turn yellow indicating that the search has been saved. The red number at the top of the page indicating the number of saved searches will also change.


- If you haven’t registered yet, we recommend that you register now easily via Google, Apple, Facebook or your email address so that you don’t lose any of your saved items and have them available on all your devices.
- You can access your alerts at any time from the text icon at the top of the screen. Please note that it may take up to 12 hours to appear.


Deactivate an alert that doesn’t match your needs
- To deactivate an alert, access the ‘Alerts’ section from the text icon at the top.
- If you have created an alert that doesn’t match your needs or are no longer interested in that search, you can deactivate it by clicking on the alert and then ‘Deactivate’. This will stop you from receiving emails related to that search.
- Please note that the alerts you deactivate will not disappear, they will still appear with the word ‘Deactivated’ in red. You can re-activate them from this page at any time.




Change the frequency of your alerts from daily to weekly
- To change the frequency of your alerts, click on the menu in the top right corner to access ‘My account’ and then select ‘Preferences’.
- Here you will see ‘Mailings’ and ‘Alerts’. Mailings are general emails that include featured properties in thinkSPAIN while alerts have properties that are based on your recent activity and saved searches.
- Select your desired frequency (daily or weekly) and click on ‘Update’.

General interest mailings are different
Please note that these steps relate only to your saved searches and personalised alerts. General interest emails, such as ‘Featured properties’ or ‘Properties under €150,000’ are different. If you are looking to receive or stop receiving these general emails, you can find them in the ‘Preferences’ section under ‘Mailings (Non-Personalised Emails)’.
