Canyamel on Mallorca is a quiet and picturesque vacation resort located in the municipality of Capdepera. The village is located just six kilometers south of Cala Ratjada and is nestled in a unique natural landscape.

Surrounded by wooded hills that are between 200 and 300 meters high, Canyamel stretches between Cap des Pinar in the southwest and Cap Vermell in the northeast, where the famous Coves d'Artà stalactite caves are located.

The Torrent de Canyamel flows through the village, dividing it into two halves. A modern bridge, which was completed in 2008, connects the two sides. At the end of the torrent is the fine sandy, 300-metre-long Platja de Canyamel beach, which stands out for its natural beauty, the cliff bay and pine-lined shores.

Canyamel offers a good infrastructure with stores for daily needs as well as a few restaurants and cafés. For larger purchases, the neighboring towns of Artà, Capdepera and Cala Ratjada are within easy reach.
