Pinar de Campoverde is a small inland town situated at the foot of the Sierra de Escalona, in the southernmost tip of the province of Alicante. Literally translated as "the Pinar de Campoverde", the town is unusually green and leafy considering the low rainfall and abundance of the hot, dry climate more typical of this area of the southern Costa Blanca.
