Cala Murada is located in the southeast of the Balearic island of Mallorca. It is a very quiet, idyllic seaside resort. There are no large hotel complexes here; like many of the small towns along the southeast coast, this settlement consists mainly of holiday homes and restaurants. Cala Murada is located in the immediate vicinity of the town of Felanitx, but still belongs to the municipality of Manacor. Manacor is the third largest municipality on the island and has city status.

The beach of the same name, Cala Murada, is the first of a whole chain of beaches that stretches along the coast and is called Callas de Mallorca. From here you can reach the next bay, Cala Domingos, in just a few minutes' walk along a path. Cala Murada offers the typical tourist infrastructure with a lifeguard, parking spaces and a small restaurant, which is only open during the season. At the back of the bay, the Torrent des Fangar stream expands into a small, idyllic pond.
