Torrevieja is a city and coastal municipality in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community, Spain. Located in the south of the province, in the region of Vega Baja del Segura, it is situated in an area of high scenic and environmental value on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, next to the lagoons of La Mata and Torrevieja. With 91,731 inhabitants (data from January 2023), it is the fifth largest city by number of inhabitants in the Valencian Community and the third largest city in the province of Alicante, surpassed only by Alicante and Elche. It has good access to Alicante airport. By car via N332 or the AP-7 in about 45 minutes, or with a direct bus line from the airport to the Torrevieja bus station, which is only 650 m from the apartment.
