An ideal base from which to explore the celebrated medieval Moorish architecture of Córdoba, Granada and Seville or to escape to unmissable natural landmarks such as the Fuente de Piedra Nature Reserve (10 min), El Torcal de Antequera (25 min), the beaches of Málaga (45 min) or the breathtaking Caminito del Rey (1h).

Just 800 metres (500 m paved) from one of the entrances to the village, the estate can be reached on foot, by bicycle or by car. And every time you arrive, you will feel it: life here moves at a different rhythm.

The estate: general features

The site was chosen with great intention to have panoramic views in all direction. To feel at one with nature without losing touch with the world. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, yet within easy reach of towns and services, this impressive estate offers the flexibility to be used as a permanent residence or developed into a tourism venture with enormous potential (it has a tourism license).

Construction took place in two stages, completed in 2013 and 2022 respectively. The result is a true architectural gem that honours and celebrates the vernacular style of the region.

Beyond its authentic Andalusian character, the owner has sourced and incorporated valuable historic materials from across Spain: roof tiles from an old house in Córdoba, bricks from a former church near Iznájar, and a striking heraldic emblem from Castile that presides over the tower façade.

Ecological design has also been central to every decision: thick exterior walls and air chambers were constructed to insulate against extreme temperatures.

The windows are double-glazed climalit units, filtering solar radiation. The property features underfloor heating and solar hot water. It has mains electricity.

The main house

The outdoor spaces

All ground-floor rooms open onto a central courtyard, completed in 2022, where a circular pool with automatic chlorination takes centre stage. Surrounded by lawn and relaxation areas, it is the perfect setting to make the most of the more than 320 days of sunshine that Andalusia promises.

Whether from inside the house, the garden, or the upper-floor viewpoint, the views are spectacular: the surrounding vineyard, the olive groves of the neighbouring fields and the beautiful natural landscape of Antequera stretching into the distance.

The property sits on 4.1 hectares (10.1 acres) of land, with the house surrounded by an ecological plantation of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vines.

The guest apartment

The estate includes a fully independent guest apartment of approximately 75 m², situated beside the pool. Should the main house be operated as a tourist accommodation or events venue weddings and private celebrations included, this apartment offers a comfortable private residence for the owners.

It features an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, 1 bedroom and one bathroom. Should you choose to live in the main house, this annex works equally well as a guest apartment or tourism rental.

The vineyard and a potential winery

The vineyard is planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon (2.2 ha = 5.4 acres) and 35% Merlot (1.5 ha = 3.7 acres), and holds the 'Málaga Denominación de Origen' designation. The harvest is currently sold to a select group of Andalusian wineries.

While there is no dedicated winery on site, the potential to develop one exists: a currently unused space of ± 70 m² is available for this purpose.

The tower: a multipurpose space

The estate includes a space with outstanding potential. The 70 m² referenced above is fully serviced (all water and electrical installations are in place) and awaits only its final finish, to be defined according to its intended use.

Currently used as storage, it does not affect the aesthetic of the rest of the property in the slightest.

At minimal cost, up to 3 additional bedrooms could be added, creating another self-contained apartment for guests. It could equally be developed as a boutique winery, completing the full cycle of producing wine from the grapes grown on the estate itself.
