17th century tower with exciting garden

The Torre de las Águilas is located in one of the best residential areas of Alicante. A few seconds away from the tram stop and large supermarkets and a few minutes away from the beach of Albufereta and the golf. A spectacular home in the best area of Alicante.
The tower has been declared BIC (Good Cultural Interest 1997). It has its own Special Protection Plan approved in 2003. This allowed it to condition the minimum distance required for construction around the plot.
The tower is in a prismatic shape on base of an almost square plinth. It has three levels. There is an access to the interior of the first floor from the house through a staircase.
The house possibly maintained its agricultural structure until the first third of the twentieth, when the problem of phylloxera changed the approach and agricultural activity. Subsequently, it has had a series of adaptations to become more of a residential home, being able to recognize by the arcades and unevenness the situation of the cellar of the old agricultural house spaces. When its current owner bought the tower-house complex in 1971, it was already as it is today. Especially in the lobby stands the continuous arch of ashlar (there are no other examples in the area) and quite close to the tower.
