Santiago de la Ribera is the town with the largest population in Murcia. It is placed in the Mar Menor littoral. In the outskirts there is the popular "Academia General del Aire" next to the airport of San Javier. There are some different beaches, but the most popular are El Castillico, Barnuevo and Colón.
