Notes on the location
Aballe or Avalle is a picturesque village with very friendly neighbours. The area is not just ideal for fishing; it is also well known for hunting. There are fantastic walks along the riverbank, mobile shops visit daily and there is a suspension footbridge which provides access to the opposite riverbank with a short walk to a well-known Sideria restaurant. The riverbank has purpose-built pathways, steps and fishing jetties which were built to make life easy for General Franco who was a regular visitor. The wildlife is amazing! There are otters, badgers, eagles, herons and much more. Swimming and cooling off in the river is permitted. There is scope to extend the accommodation subject to permission from Parres Council.
