If you know Almuñecar, then Casa Maracaibo is located off Avda Mediterraneo near the "house that looks like a ship" (well known local landmark). It is 7 minutes walk to Playa San Cristobal, and pretty much the same to return (ie not up a really steep hill). You can walk to the town centre in 15 minutes, either along the Avenida, or across the chirimoya orchard, or even along the beach.

The house is south-facing, gets sun all day, and has two large terraces. The entrance is up the stairs above the spacious garage and by the lower terrace, where the front door takes you through to the living room and dining area. The living room has an attractive fireplace and a spacious layout, with wall shelves and alcoves for television, hi-fi etc.

The kitchen is large and has a marble worktop. There is a large walk-in larder and plenty of natural light. To the rear of the ground floor is bathroom no.2 and an attractive staircase with wrought iron balustrade.

Upstairs takes you to both (double) bedrooms and the larger bathroom. The master bedroom leads onto the upstairs terrace with 180 degree views of Almuñecar, Lomo de Cotobro and the sea.

There is no problem with parking and no traffic outside the front of the house. There is a parking space outside and garage below.

The pool is large and is open all year round. It is surrounded by a verdant lawn where you can sunbathe in peace.

With this house you are not in a cramped apartment on the seafront, but neither is your villa miles up in the hills, although the house does have a nice view.

In a town where there aren't many spacious houses at less than villa prices, and all new development is further away up in the hills, this represents a great opportunity to rent your place in the sun.
