Our client, an international company, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Country Sales Manager to broaden their client base in Spain.
This exciting new role will grow the Group’s Spanish presence, helping to establish a new operation in this market including establishing and cultivating relationships with new target clients with a focus on creating sales by driving revenue and operational controls to an agreed business plan as well as taking responsibility for the local team.
You will be the leader in developing sales in Spain, therefore you will need to have recent hands on sales experience. Able to network, build contacts, cold call and generate new leads. Key to our client is previous experience in ‘shop fit’ or 'Brand implementation’ including planning and installation on multi-site projects. You will have a strong customer focus, be financially aware and able to work to and achieve set KPIs and targets. You should be confident, a great communicator in both Spanish and English and have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office suite.
Overall, you must be a flexible, driven and focused person who is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You must be prepared to travel and to relocate if necessary. Our client will show preference to candidates with a flexible attitude or who are based close to Madrid. · Key Responsibilities:
Manage the business including sales, margin control, cash generation and overhead control
Manage the establishment of new teams based on new project wins in coordination with local managers.
Work with other managers in The Group to develop and implement a business strategy to achieve objectives for growth in revenue and profitability
Work with other teams to ensure an all-encompassing approach in addressing both opportunities and issues in a proactive manner, ensuring on-going customer communication and follow-up.
Expand relationships with existing clients.
Establish and cultivate relationships with new target clients with a focus on sales conversion and customer retention.
Push the business to the highest standards of operational delivery, communication and customer service
Comply with and endorse group reporting requirements, such as monthly sales and margin forecasting.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Fluent English & Spanish as business and domestic languages
Ability to develop and maintain new client relationships
Knowledge of client services based offer, including programme management and KPI establishment
Previous experience in “shop fit” or “brand implementation” - must be able to demonstrate experience planning and installing high volume, multi-site projects.
Previous experience of managing a business/leading a team.
Strong customer focus. Must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of customer needs and customer satisfaction.
Must possess a strong understanding of the relationship between account activities and key financial measurables.
Confident and competent communicator with varying management level
A high degree of personal motivation, happy to challenge and chase success.
Ability to remain organised, focused and multi task in an ever changing, fast paced environment.
Strong IT skills including database work and MS Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Full clean driving licence.
