Kennel Assistant
We are looking for a reliable, caring, and hardworking Kennel Assistant to assist with the daily care, cleaning, and welfare of animals in our kennel facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of hygiene, animal comfort, and safety, while supporting the kennel team with routine tasks.
Duties include:
• Feed and provide fresh water to animals according to schedules and instructions
• Observe animals daily and report any signs of illness, injury, or stress
• Assist with handling animals safely and calmly
• Ensure animals have clean, comfortable bedding
• Wash bedding, bowls, toys, and equipment
About you:
• Genuine love of animals and concern for their welfare
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks (cleaning, lifting, standing for long periods)
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings
• Calm and patient around animals
• Good attention to detail
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
