Description
We are currently looking for a Clinical Aid / Support Staff member to join our dedicated team in Vélez-Málaga. This is a rewarding role for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive residential environment.
About the Role
As a key member of the team you will support clients during evenings and weekends, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and continued progress in recovery. The role involves medication administration, client support, house upkeep, and accompanying clients to activities and appointments. You must be confident working independently and able to drive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide empathic, person-centred support to clients
- Facilitate evening recovery and community groups
- Administer and record medication and PRN’s accurately
- Support clients with daily living activities and recovery planning
- Ensure the house is clean, safe, secure, and well maintained
- Accompany and transport clients to meetings, gym sessions, and external activities
- Assist with new admissions, bag checks, and client inventories
- Maintain accurate records and respect confidentiality at all times
- Participate in staff handovers, meetings, supervision, and training
- Act as on-call support during sleep-in shifts when required
Essential Requirements
- Clean driving licence and ability to drive clients
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
- Able to work as a lone worker with clients who have complex needs
- Strong communication skills with a non-judgemental approach
- High level of self-awareness and emotional resilience
- Understanding of confidentiality, boundaries, and professional conduct
- Physically able to meet the demands of the role
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and varied shifts
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Degree-level education or equivalent (counselling or related field preferred)
- At least 2 years’ experience supporting individuals with mental health or addiction issues
- Medication management certification
- Knowledge of recovery approaches (e.g. 12-Step, EMDR)
- Experience working with healthcare professionals or lived recovery experience
- FDAP accreditation or working towards it
