American actor Bruce Willis began filming his latest movie "The Cold Light of Day" in Moraira port today.
The film, directed by French-born Mabrouk El-Mechri, will keep Willis in Alicante province for another couple of weeks, before he moves onto Madrid, where he is expected to carry on filming until the middle of October.
Willis and another of the film's stars, Henry Cavill, known for his role in "The Tudors", spent today filming a number of different scene's in the northern Alicante town.
The press are being kept away from the actual film set, but Wilis has promised to pose with other cast members for a photo shoot later in the week.
The production team is expected to move on to La Granadella, near Javea, tomorrow to continue filming. Next week the filming will move to Alicante's 'Ciudad de la Luz' studios.
Willis only arrived in the area on Saturday, but the production team has been filming in a number of different locations around the province since September 7th and are planning on staying in the Comunidad Valenciana and Madrid for the next ten weeks.
Another of the film's stars, Sigourney Weaver, has not yet arrived in Alicante. Spanish actors Verónica Echegui and Óscar Jaenada will also be appearing in the film alonside Caroline Goodall, Roschdy Zem, Joseph Mawle, Rafi Gavron and Emma Hamilton.
"The Cold Light of Day" is a thriller about a young American (Henry Cavill) whose family gets kidnapped whilst on holiday in Spain. Cavill has just a few hours to find them and make the connection between their disappearance and the secrets his father (Bruce Willis) has kept hidden from them.
