A BRITISH tourist has died in a brawl in the upmarket Tenerife resort area of Costa Adeje, emergency services report.
They were called out by witnesses who said two men of UK nationality were involved in a punch-up on the Avenida Ernesto Sartí at around 01.45hrs this morning (Thursday).
When paramedics and police reached the scene, one of the men, aged 53, had gone into cardiac arrest.
Extensive attempts to restart his heart and breathing proved futile.
Details of what may have started the fight, or whether the two men knew each other, have not been released as yet, although it is believed both had been drinking heavily beforehand.
Costa Adeje, part of the wider town of Adeje on the south-west coast of Tenerife is an up-and-coming holiday area targeting tourists seeking a bit of luxury and its profile has been boosted by significant cash investment this year.
