A DUTCH Jihad recruit linked to the terror organisation DAESH has been arrested on the Costa Brava.
The Moroccan, who has a passport from The Netherlands, was caught in Figueres (Girona province) thanks to smooth cooperation between cross-border police.
Authorities found the accused was travelling back from Syria via Turkey, passing through Spain to cover his tracks.
His identity has not been made public.
Investigators are attempting to ascertain to what extent he had been 'radicalised' and what his role was within DAESH.
His arrest comes just days after Spanish police broke up a Jihad cell in the country's northern African-based enclave of Ceuta, and seized an arsenal of weapons.
