A RUSSIAN hacker wanted by the USA and arrested in Barcelona is due to be transferred to a prison in Madrid today to await extradition proceedings.
Stanislav Lísov has been remanded in custody, since judge Carmen Lamela considers the charges against him to be 'sufficiently serious' that he is likely to attempt to flee justice.
It is very probable the extradition request from the USA will be approved, since Lísov has no roots in Spain, and no friends or family in the country, and was 'merely travelling' when he was caught.
Sources from the investigation team have confirmed Lísov's hacking offences were not linked to being a political spy and he is not connected to the allegations made by US Intelligence services concerning Russia and the recent general election in which Republican Donald Trump was voted president.
A MAN declared dead at his home in the province of Tarragona was on his way to the funeral parlour when he turned out to be alive, according to police sources.
