A BRITISH man is in intensive care after he was stabbed at home by another expat following a drunken row in a southern Costa Blanca bar.
Guardia Civil officers arrested a 63-year-old UK national and found him to be in possession of a handgun and a set of knuckle-dusters.
He has been charged with the attempted murder of another Brit, aged 54, identified so far only by his initials of S. A. M. and being treated for a knife wound near his left collarbone.
Police heard the pair, who apparently knew each other, had started arguing whilst drinking in a bar on one of the urbanisations in Orihuela Costa on Sunday night, but this did not go further than a heated exchange.
Later, however, the elder man went round to the victim's home on the C/ Cantabria at around 23.30 and attacked him, leaving him with potentially life-threatening injuries.
