A COW and her calf strolled onto a Cádiz beach yesterday (Monday), sat down beneath a parasol and began to soak up the sun – much to the disbelief of bathers.
Members of the public on Bolonia beach did a double take as mum and baby parked themselves on the sand, minding their own business – and refused to move no matter how much pushing and shoving they got.
Photos of the pair, taken by the magazine Sentir Taurino – including the one above left - have gone viral on social media, but at first they were thought to have been doctored and were a joke.
But Sentir Taurino says the cow and calf are semi-wild and graze in the area.
They are completely harmless and did not put anybody out – except the owner of the beach umbrella, whose space was completely taken up by the animals.
