British pensioners found dead in their Manilva home
21/07/2017
POLICE in the province of Málaga are investigating the death of a British couple found in their home in Manilva.
It is not thought any physical violence was involved, although a post-mortem will be conducted to find out why the 80-year-old woman and her husband, 71, passed away.
The woman was found face-down in the bedroom and her husband in the lounge, and both appear to have been dead for several days, between a week and a fortnight at least, as their bodies are 'in an advanced state of decomposition', according to police.
Their son, who lives in the UK, contacted a lady living next door to the couple when he had been unable to reach them for several days and became worried.
She called the Guardia Civil, who discovered their bodies.
They have not been formally identified in the media until the family has been informed and the cause of death ascertained.
