OUTER space and the Bronze Age do not sit well in the same sentence – they may both have existed at the same time, but anyone based on Earth back then would not have known much, or anything, about what lies beyond.
Guardia Civil goes digital
30/07/2017
THE Guardia Civil has launched an 'online office' to save members of the public time and travel – instead of attending the nearest station, which is often in another town, many transactions can now be carried out by internet.
It is not clear as yet whether denuncias, or official reports of crimes or loss of personal effects – the latter usually being for insurance purposes – can be carried out online or whether these are required to be effected in person, but issues relating to consulting criminal records, checking up on the status of crimes and acquiring licences for fireworks, clay-pigeon-shooting pistols and so forth, or obtaining private security guards can now be dealt with via the 'digital office'.
The web portal allows for online payment where required, such as for firework permits, and access is via a username and password.
Use of the digital office itself is free of charge.
The aim is to cut the queues and administration workload for Guardia Civil officers so they can focus on more police-specific tasks.
