RAIL board RENFE has once again launched its '25,000 tickets for €25' offer to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the high-speed AVE line, which has been going live on the 25th day of every month.
After two such offers in July, RENFE initially said it would skip August 25 and release the cut-price travel tickets on September 25, but they have proven so popular that the August deal will now go ahead.
Previous months have seen RENFE forced to offer 35,000 or more tickets at €25 due to so many people literally buying the same ones at the very same moment.
At its peak, up to 1,000 tickets a minute were flying off the shelves.
They go on sale at the stroke of midnight on 25th of each month, although often, they are sold out within an hour or two.
July's deal was brought forward to 9th day of the month, and all tickets had been snapped up by 00.32 that day – despite an extra 10,000 being added to the usual 25,000.
This month's ticket offer, which will start at midnight on Thursday and continue on Friday until stocks run out, is valid for travel any time between September 4 and November 30.
Those who miss out will get another chance in a month's time, and the €25 ticket deal will continue until the end of the year.
Meanwhile, RENFE is constantly upgrading its servers to cope with demand, having doubled its bandwidth since the offer launched earlier in the year.
