Guardia Civil officers have arrested the owner of a bar in Oliva (Valencia) for having installed hidden video cameras in the ladies' toilets.
One was disguised as a plug socket on the wall under the washbasin and the other as a smoke detector on the ceiling.
Police officers began an investigation after receiving an official complaint about the cameras. The investigation led to the arrest of a 69-year-old French man, a resident of Valencia, on suspicion of crimes against intimate privacy and violation of image rights.
During their search of the premises, officers also confiscated a computer and a mobile 'phone, which are being analysed to determine the extent of the crime.
