The ride known as the 'Giant Maxx', a type of huge 'hammer' on a swing became stuck whilst in the air and Local Police had to rush to the scene and calm down the passengers.
Many began to complain at how long they were left on top of the ride waiting for help while mechanics tried to find a way to get them down safely.
After around an hour and a half, they managed to pull down the main 'lever' of the hammer so the seven could get off on their own.
Firefighters had been called out, but the passengers had been rescued by the time they reached the scene.
A fairground worker stressed that whilst the situation was frightening for those on board, they were never at any real risk.
This is the second time in a week that a fairground ride breakdown has caused panic in the Comunidad Valenciana – just days earlier, an attraction known as 'The Octopus' at a fair in Segorbe (Castellón province), about 58 kilometres north-west of Valencia, collapsed due to an electrical fault and nine people on board fell with it, landing on their backs.
They all suffered cuts and bruises, but no broken bones.
