IRISH rock legends U2 has announced a second concert date in Madrid this year after all tickets for the first show were snapped up in minutes.
The band, led by Bono, was only planning to perform for one night in Spain – on September 20 at the WiZink Centre – but will now carry on for a second night, on September 21.
Tickets will go on sale next Friday, February 2 from 10.00 mainland Spain time on Ticketmaster and on the websites of the band's two promoters, Live Nation and Doctor Music.
A maximum of four per person can be bought, with prices ranging from €34 to €195.
Exactly the same as for the earlier concert, a priority ticket sale for fan-club members will be launched between January 30 and February 1, and for those who have bought their new album Songs of Experience – the sequel to its 2015 collection Songs of Innocence – a priority sale will take place between January 31 and February 1.
U2's forthcoming eXPERIENCE +iNNOCENCE Tour will see the veteran band performing in the Spanish capital for the first time since 2005.
During that time, however, U2 has performed in Barcelona at the Palau Sant Jordi stadium (pictured).
