British woman's body found in drainage ditch
27/01/2018
A BRITISH woman's body has been found in a canal in the Region of Murcia and a burnt-out car near the scene.
She is said to be 39 years old and her passport was found, proving her identity and nationality.
Police say they were alerted by a passerby who saw her in a drainage ditch alongside a main road in Los Ramos, a tied hamlet of Murcia city, believing her to be unconscious.
But paramedics who rushed to the scene found she was already dead.
A charred vehicle was found a kilometre away, and may be related to the woman's death.
Police have not ruled out foul play, but at the moment are working on the basis of a possible traffic accident.
