THREE arrests have been made in France in connection with the Cambrils and Barcelona terror attacks in August last year, all of whom are said to be linked to Driss Oukabir – the only surviving killer, who is currently in jail.
Properties in the Occitaine départements of Gard and Tarn have been raided and arrests have been made by the French Secret Service.
Intelligence agents had found out that several members of the cell had made a sudden overnight trip to Paris just days before the attacks and had spent a night in a hotel in the banlieue, or suburbs.
It was thought at the time that they had made contact with French members of the self-styled 'Islamic State', or DAESH, to share information and resources.
These contacts are thought to be the men recently arrested.
