23/04/2018
A HOTEL in Palma de Mallorca had to be evacuated last night (Sunday) after a balcony collapsed, sparking fears of major structural damage.
Despite the seventh-floor room of the Hotel Encant in the s'Arenal area being occupied by guests, nobody was hurt, according to the city fire brigade who were called to the scene.
They propped up the damaged terrace, but guests were later allowed to return to their rooms and a full structural survey has been commissioned to check the building is safe.
