COLLAPSING seating at a football stadium during a live TV interview has left 16 adults and two children with minor injuries.
Presenter Risto Mejide was being filmed talking to FC Barcelona's Andrés Iniesta at the Catalunya city's Satalia stadium for the channel four, or La Cuatro programme Chester when the row of seats caved in.
The cause is not yet known, but local authorities have launched an investigation.
Police cordoned off the stadium, which is based in the Poble Sec neighbourhood and is council-owned, until it is declared safe.
Mejide scrubbed all announcements about the Iniesta interview from his Twitter account out of 'respect for those injured', and said that 'the most important thing is that they get better as quickly as possible'.
An ambulance was called in, but it is not thought anyone had to be admitted to hospital.
