Woman killed by Cabify car in Barcelona
A WOMAN has died after being run over by a Cabify car in Barcelona and another has been seriously injured.

The male driver and his two female passengers suffered minor wounds.

Barcelona city council says the accident happened at exactly 00.34 on Saturday at the crossroads between the C/ Aragó and the C/ Casanova in the Eixample neighbourhood

The deceased was aged 34, local authorities, who have sent a message of condolences to her family, can reveal.

She is the third pedestrian to have died in Barcelona so far this year – last year, five walkers lost their lives, not including those killed in the August van attack on Las Ramblas.

The city hall has reiterated its pledge to continue working towards cutting pedestrian deaths in central Barcelona.
