A HANDFUL of beach umbrellas in the colours of the Spanish flag have been set up on the beach in Arenys de Mar (Barcelona province) as a counter-protest against the yellow ribbons in support of Catalunya's 'political prisoners' scattered all over the coast.
A group of 15 bathers turned up on Cavaió beach in Arenys at 08.00 this morning and set up the parasols and towels to match.
They were members of various anti-independence campaign associations, mostly from the Spanish Citizens' Resistance and Action Group (GARCE), which also put up Spanish flag umbrellas and towels last weekend on the Montgat beach in the same Barcelona-province district, Maresme.
