A RYANAIR pilot found dead in his car at Málaga airport is believed to have committed suicide, accoding to latest reports.
Jouke Schrale, 45, who had been working for the Irish airline for 10 years, was due to captain a flight from the Costa del Sol terminal to Brussels on Friday, August 3, but his body was found in his car which was stationed in the staff car park.
The news of his death has only just been announced, and according to headlines in various media, circumstantial evidence points to suicide.
Jouke's demise was around a week before the pilot strike across Ireland, Sweden, Belgium and Germany.
The circumstances that led to his final decision are not known.
Ryanair said the company and its staff are 'very distressed' by Jouke's death and his colleagues are 'in a state of shock'.
