AN 18-YEAR-OLD woman is in a critical condition at Palma de Mallorca's Son Espases hospital after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in the popular beach holiday zone of Palmanova.
The cause of her plunging several metres onto concrete below is not known, but is the latest in a spate of balcony accidents in tourist-heavy areas in Mallorca this summer, and which happen every season on the island.
Emergency services were called out at around 05.50 yesterday (Monday) morning, where they found the young woman – believed to be British – unconscious.
She is believed to have been on holiday on the island.
Paramedics took her to Son Espases (pictured) where she has been admitted to intensive care.
