Another motorist called police to report a container vehicle with a non-Spanish registration number being driven by a woman with a baby in her arms and with no proper child restraint system.
When pulled up and questioned, the woman admitted she had been breastfeeding and driving at the same time.
She also faces a fine for having curtains on the side windows in the cabin, impeding her view of other road users.
The woman paid the fines on the spot, which were for the curtains and for the baby not being in a proper seat, but she was not punished for breastfeeding at the wheel because officers did not see this and have no CCTV footage of her doing so.
Relatives reportedly came to the scene to take care of the infant.
