Lorry driver's GPS lands him in Cantabria ditch
A POLISH lorry driver ended up sideways in a ditch along with his 22,000 litres of beer after following his sat-nav instructions.

Jan's vehicle fell into a stream in the rural outskirts of Anero, Cantabria – an isolated area with only one house within walking distance.

Its owners, Blanca and José Miguel, have taken the driver into their home until the lorry can be dragged out of the stream and the cargo – which was on its way to the UK – rescued.

Meanwhile, Jan has opted to keep overnight vigils in his lorry to prevent the booze being stolen, and sleeps during the day at Blanca and José Miguel's house.

He is waiting for his insurance company to take action, until which he is stranded in the Cantabria countryside.
