Hemsworth's wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, is due to celebrate her 43rd birthday in style this Thursday, a month before her husband celebrates his 36th, and they are expected to be gathering a huge crowd of friends together for a party on the island.
The Australian Thor actor has temporarily put his career on hold to accompany Elsa on her current projects in Spain, along with their two children, although the kids were not with them on the yacht.
Damon is a fairly regular visitor to Spain - caused a furore in Jávea (Alicante province) last year when he was seen in a seafront bar, having travelled to the Costa Blanca for a friend's wedding at the Marriott Hotel in Dénia, and happily posed for selfies with fans.
He and his wife of 14 years, Argentinian Luciana Barroso, spend a lot of time with the Hemsworth-Pataky family when they are all off duty, since the men are great friends – in fact, Damon had a cameo role in Thor: Ragnarok.
Luciana and Matt have three daughters together, Isabella, Gia and Stella, and Luciana has a fourth, Alexia, from a previous marriage.
As for Elsa and Chris, they appeared to have made it up after their recent quarrel witnessed in Ibiza where Chris pinched some of Elsa's expensive moisturising cream to sooth his bright-red, sunburnt face.
Hemsworth has recently admitted that when Elsa gets annoyed with him, she shouts at him in Spanish and he 'hardly understands a thing'.
Ibiza port is a popular celebrity stamping ground, and the rich and famous are regularly seen there on their yachts.
