January sales in full swing before the Three Kings arrive

ThinkSPAIN Team 04/01/2021

The January sales, probably those most anticipated by shoppers, have already begun in some chain stores, with discounts of up to 40% being offered on selected products. Other stores, however, are sticking to Spain's tradition of not starting the January sales until after the visit by the Three Kings on January 6th.

El Corte Inglés

As per tradition, El Corte Inglés will kick off their seasonal sales on January 7th in all their department stores, and discounts will continue right through until the end of February, as outlined on their official website. Nevertheless, those who prefer to shop online can get up to 50% off selected items from January 6th.

Inditex

The Inditex Group, which includes brands like Zara, Stradivarius, Bershka, Oysho, Massimo Dutti and Pull&Bear, will officially start its January sales on 7th in their physical stores, and from 9pm on January 6th online. Some of its brands, like Bershka for example, will start their sales even earlier, at 6pm, via the mobile app. However, if you shop online, it is already possible to find some accessories and items of clothing reduced by up to 45%.

Mango

The January sales have already started in Mango, which is offering a whole host of this season's clothing at half price. Discounts have been available from January 2nd, both in physical stores and online, and their website says they will be available until March 1st or while stocks last.

H&M

Always one of the first brands to start offering seasonal discounts, H&M's sales began on January 2nd, with many items half price, both online and in physical shops.

Cortefiel, Women'secret & Springfield

Tendam, the retail group that owns brands like Cortefiel, Women'secret, Springfield and Pedro del Hierro, has also brought its January sales forward this year, rather than waiting until after the Three Kings. Some of its brands have been advertising discounts of up to 70% on a wide range of clothing since last weekend. Their January sales will continue until February 28th in all the group's shops.

Fnac

Specialising in the sale of electronic items, computers, music, books and video games Fnac will officially kick its sales off on January 7th, with discounts both online and in store. Nevertheless, their online catalogue is already advertising discounts of up to 40% on some mobile 'phones and up to 30% on some household goods. A selection of products will be available at half price from January 7th until February 21st.

Kiabi

The fashion and accessories chain has also started its January sales ahead of the traditional Epiphany cut-off, with discounts being offered online since January 1st and in store since January 2nd. A selection of items has already discounted by 50% and the sales will carry on until February 28th online and until March 1st in physical stores.
