Three people died and another two were injured in a car crash yesterday morning in Villamartín de Campos (Palencia). The accident took place at kilometre 12 on the N-610 road (Palencia to Benavente), and consisted of a head-on smash between two cars. The causes for the incident are still unknown.
The town of Villamartín de Campos is one of the most dangerous spots in Palencia province with regards to traffic accidents. At least 12 people have been killed and another 12 have been seriously injured between kilometres 10 and 12 on the N-610 in the last five years.
