It is in the municipality of Benitachell (El Poble Nou de Benitatxell), in the Marina Alta comarca of Alicante province, on the Costa Blanca North of Spain. The resort rises over cliffs above the Mediterranean, which is why so many of its homes have open sea views.

Cumbre del Sol is known for its sea views, its clifftop setting and its closeness to some of the most beautiful coves on the Costa Blanca, including Cala Moraig and Cala del Llebeig.
