Finca/Country House for sale in Salinas, Alicante

Now for something different. We get asked all the time about properties in the countryside, but prices have sky rocketed, and many people just want somewhere to go at the weekend to have a BBQ, Paella, chill with friends so we having been putting in some thought as to how we can make this happen on a low budget. We have many plots for sale in the countryside. To get planning permission in this area 10,000m2 is required, then you have planning permisión architects fees, notary fees, registrations costs and more. You can see the costs start escalating. So what about a caravan…. No planing permission as its mobile, no architects fees, notary, registry, no council tax etcetera. Then again no minimum plot size….. Plots of 10,000 m2 where building is allowed are obviously more valuable…. But do you really want to chill out at the weekend, or become a farmer. What i am coming to is that i have some very cheap plots which are ample for giving you space, privacy, tranquility, and you have various options about what you do on them.

For example I have a lovely plot of 3000 m2, close to the town, mature olive orchard, water supply for just 15000 euros. Last week I saw a large UK caravan (not legal for road use, ideal for a plot) It was for sale on facebook for around 6000, but you can come across them cheaper or more expensive depending on size and condition. So no problems with a caravan.

What about a tiny home ?? They are literally converted containers. Rules are not exactly clear. All i can say is that i have a container on my land that¨s been here for 10 years and nobody has said anything. I know many other people in the area that have containers and have had no problems. At the end of the day they can be picked up, move and dropped off from the back of a lorry, which bricks and mortar cannot. No foundations necessary. I¨m not offering advice here, just suggesting options that you could consider if budget is a problem.

I have a friend selling a tiny home, its amazing, Lounge that turns into a bedroom,, bathroom, kitchen, patio doors, front terrace, roof terrace. Its for sale for 33000, transport locally would be about 500 . A solar power system could be added, or even just a generator, and batteries. There are so many options.

If you go down he caravan route I believe that for under 25000 you could have your own weekend retreat with no expensive ground rental fees that you would pay on a camping site. With the tiny home method or prefab, I believe that between 50,000 and 60,000 you could have a fantastic set up.
